From the volunteer coordinator: Faith, friendship and welcome
Gerry Eitner and Beverly Finnegan were two of about 20 volunteers who made possible our Mardi Gras celebration in February 2026.

At Saint James’, we are deeply grateful for the many hands and hearts that make our ministries flourish. From the Altar Guild and choir to outreach and hospitality, every act of service reflects the love of Christ in our community.
This quarter reminded us that many hands make light work. Each volunteer, whether setting up for worship, serving, sharing in fellowship, or providing food, helps make Saint James’ a place of faith, friendship and welcome.
We were thrilled to have a full volunteer team at our annual Mardi Gras event, our contribution to the Firewood Initiative is going strong, and we have a robust group of new acolytes this year. Such a joy to see!
Looking ahead, we’re exploring new ways to expand our outreach to the wider community. Please take this survey to let us know where you might be interested in serving.
If you’d like to learn more about ways to volunteer, please reach out to me. There’s a place for everyone to share their gifts at Saint James’.
