From the family ministries director: Young people learn, connect and serve
A few of the bros on the youth group ski trip to West Virginia in February 2026.

This winter has been full in some of the very best ways. Children’s Church continues to thrive, and we steadily welcome new faces into our classrooms each week. Sunday mornings are filled with joyful, youthful energy as families find their place within our community. It is truly a joy to be part of.
Both youth groups have continued meeting on Sunday evenings, though the early months of the year brought a slightly more sporadic schedule. Our high school group was finally able to hit the slopes in Davis, West Virginia, for a weekend of skiing and plenty of fun, complete with several inches of fresh snow. It was a gift to have a fun weekend together! Many thanks to our adult leaders — Margy, Chris, Ryan, Will, Mike and Father Ben — for sharing their time for the weekend as chaperones, too!
As we move into spring, our focus turns toward preparing for our annual mission trip to Hurley, Virginia, from June 15 to 20. If you have a student who will be a rising sophomore through a rising college freshman, please save the date. This trip has consistently been an impactful and formative experience, and I would love to see even more of our high schoolers take part this year.
I also want to offer a heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteers. Your faithfulness, flexibility, and love for our youngest learners made it possible for Children’s Church and nursery to run seamlessly and joyfully while I was away enjoying one of my favorite things, skiing with my family. I am deeply grateful.
