Confirmation at Saint James’ Warrenton
Confirmation is the sacramental rite in which the candidates “express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop.” A bishop typically makes an official pastoral visit to Saint James’ every two years.
Those who have been confirmed in another Christian tradition may be received into The Episcopal Church by a similar rite, also performed by a bishop.
