Volunteer Spotlight: Bené Giglio

Bené is on staff at Saint James’ as the volunteer coordinator, helping parishioners find meaningful ways to become involved in our ministries. She retired after 30 years as a music teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools and now serves as president of the Piedmont Symphony Orchestra board.

Bené also sings in the choir and enjoys parish life with her husband, Chris. They have three sons — Jack, Shane, and Michael — and a beloved dog, Nelly.

“I love helping people find their place at Saint James’,” she says. “Volunteering builds friendships, deepens our faith and brings us closer as a parish family.”
