Wrapping up the Campaign for Ministries

We closed the program year in June with a resounding response to our Campaign for Ministries, far surpassing the campaign goal of $700,000. On Sunday, Aug. 30, during the parish picnic at Chapultepec, we’ll officially close the capital campaign and celebrate your generosity. If you have not made a pledge to the campaign, please consider being a part of this success and all that is taking place at Saint James’.

Campaign for Now

Your contributions will directly support several key short-term projects:

  • Renovating the Reception Room. (Substantially completed)

  • Making essential repairs and improvements to the rectory. (Substantially completed)

  • Installing stained glass windows and other inviting elements in the Children’s Chapel. (Planned for 2027)

  • Repairing stained glass windows in the Side Chapel and Nave. (Planned for 2027)

  • Paying off the loan for the Far Field

Remaining funds will go toward ongoing repairs and renovations of this beautiful and remarkably utilized church campus, or be deposited into the endowment fund to provide perpetual funding for maintenance to our building and grounds.

Campaign for Later

The second part of the Campaign for Ministries asked you to consider making the Saint James’ endowment part of your estate plan. So far, we are halfway to our goal, with 10 households having made this commitment. This goal is part of our long-term objective of growing the endowment to cover the costs of regular maintenance and capital improvements. This will provide for a fresh, inviting and functional campus along with ensuring that more annual giving goes directly toward the vibrant ministry of Saint James’.

If you’ve made a commitment to the Saint James’ endowment in your estate plan, contact Casey Rigney at 540-347-4348 or accountant@saintjameswarrenton.org.
