EfM registration for the 2026-27 program year

The University of the South in Tennessee uses the term “Education for Ministry” to mean educating laypeople to discern their own personal ministries, gifts, talents, and spiritual interests. It is part Bible study, part book club, and part discussion group. Together, we form a tight-knit group of respectful seekers who hold each other’s confidentiality. The program can be one summary year or four in-depth years. Because all years meet together but read different texts, we use that opportunity to draw connections across our readings, one of the most powerful tools of EfM. Life-changing is the second portion of a session, where we take that connection and work through a theology structure to apply it to our personal lives in our own current situations.

Sessions are weekly, 2.5 hrs with an opening game, worship, prayer, and snack break. At our first meeting, we will all pick a time of the week we can agree on. You chose how much study time suits your life. We promise to never overwhelm you.

EfM is 50 years old and world-wide. We know of no better way to deepen your search for the meaning of life, for God and the Trinity, than EfM.
