The 10:15 service on All Saints’ Day will feature a festive Eucharist with contemporary American music sung and rung by the Adult Choir and the Saint James’ Ringers. “Aria,” by Virginia native Cynthia Dobrinski, one of the most prolific handbell composers of the 20th century, will center our hearts and minds as we reflect on those whom we “remember we love but see no longer.” The vibrant Mass setting was skillfully composed by Los Angeles composer and organist Craig Phillips. Craig Courtney’s “One Thing” is a lush and memorable setting of Psalm 27. During Communion, we will hear the antiphon for the feast of All Saints, “O How Glorious,” in a sonorous setting by the masterful Canadian composer Healey Willan. We will also welcome Kailey Pulos, a Centerville-based music educator, as our guest conductor for this liturgy.
