Common Threads, a joint ministry founded in April 2018 by First Baptist Church and Saint James’, was created so that the two congregations could honor their different faith traditions and celebrate their “common threads.”
Within its joint mission statement is the call to do something together for the good of the community and to promote racial unity in order to build community.
We are called by God to
1. Become friends in Christ.
2. Let God guide us.
3. Honor our different traditions and celebrate our common threads.
4. Do something for the good of the community.
5. Promote racial unity in order to build community.
