Looking for a wonderful addition to our great parish staff.

We are seeking qualified candidates for the parish administration position.

The parish administrator is frequently the ambassador for the church, greeting folks during the week, answering questions, helping members and visitors alike.

The administrator creates weekly bulletins, keeps track of announcements, maintains our records and database, helps with both parish communication and deepening member and newcomer engagement, is an integral part of the church staff and organizes biweekly staff meetings, serves as a conduit between church and school, helps organize special events, baptisms, funerals, weddings, etc., and so much more….

Extended Day Associate

SJES is currently hiring for an Extended Day Program Associate, Monday through Friday from 9am - 5pm during the school year. The Associate helps to supervise students ages 2-10 helping with lunch, supervising play, overseeing rest time, completing homework assignments and guiding recreational activities. The extended day program takes place from 11am-5pm Monday through Friday during the school year. Additional morning hours (9-11am) will consist of coverage for classes and office and/or set up for the extended day activities.


Among the duties assigned to this position

1. Facilitate and enhance an organized and well-run extended day program.

2. Assist students in a variety of curricular activities; arts and crafts, games, and homework.

3. Build a positive relationship with students by interacting with them on a continuous basis.

4. Provide care and interact with students to ensure their social and developmental needs are met.

5. Provide positive guidance and discipline according to school policy, and refer any problems or issues that need to be communicated to the Head of School.


Minimum qualifications

1. Previous experience developing and leading activities for children, ages 2-10, preferably in an educational environment (school, after-school program, camp, or day care center).

2. High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.

3. Ability to carry or hold small children when needed is essential.


Knowledge, skills and abilities

1. Knowledge of the principles of positive youth development.

2. Strong communication skills, including the ability effectively to communicate with staff, children, and parents.

3. First Aid and CPR certification within the last 3 months is preferred (or certification may be completed during the training period, before working with the children).
