Mohammad, his wife Sohaila, and their two daughters Rana and Sana are quite settled in their new home. They are very grateful for all of the help that has come from Saint James. We have provided them with a TV, vacuum, pillows, linens, cookware, dishes, flatware, bikes and most of all friendship. The family now has a complete set of dishes that belonged to Marie Moore. They will soon have a laptop, sewing machine and treadmill from our parishioners. Mohammad and Rana ride a bus to work in a meat packing factory. Rana has applied to Walmart for a job and will use her bike for transport. Mohammad is studying for his driver’s permit and will test this Saturday. Christine Bobal is helping Sana with educational pursuits.  Terry Owsley has offered some land for Mohammad to use for a possible farming endeavor. Randolph and Joanne Charles shared a meal with the family at their home Wednesday with much good conversation and laughter.

The family is looking forward to making more friends at Saint James and wishes to thank everyone for the help and friendship they have received. The remaining challenges are to purchase a car for the family and to overcome language barriers
