EfM (Education for Ministry) is a program of theological study created by Sewanee’s School of Theology. This program utilizes a small group format of six to 12 persons, to study, discuss and reflect on OT and NT scripture, Christian Tradition, Christian History, and Theology. This group of seekers meets weekly at Saint James for 2 ½ hours to develop Christian community and to move towards a greater understanding of the fullness of God’s kingdom, both in their own personal lives, and in discerning how each might live more fully into their Christian call to minister to self and others. Each participant registers for a 36 week program of study beginning in September, and is eligible to continue the curriculum over a course of four years, if desired, with summer breaks each year. Day and time of weekly meetings TBD based on consensus from participants. Saint James is currently accepting applicants for the coming September, 2022-June, 2023 year.
