About the Event

At each Sunday's celebration of the Eucharist, our Acolytes - Crucifers and Torch Bearers - quite literally carry the symbols of our faith: Christ's sacrifice on the Cross and His enduring Light. We are so appreciative of the dedication and service each Acolyte has given to our church through their participation in the Acolyte Ministry.

More Acolytes are needed!

We welcome all 3rd-6th graders who would like to be Torch Bearers, and all 5th-12th graders who would like to be Crucifers. Acolyting is a wonderfully meaningful way to participate in the service and an easy role to learn. (also, a little-known fact: candy is involved).

Training for All Current & New Acolytes will be Sunday, November 5 immediately after the 10:15 service (11:30am in the church). The first 30-40 minutes will be combined Crucifer & Torch training, with the last 20 minutes focused on Eucharist preparation for Crucifers only (helping Fr. Ben with preparation of the gifts). All training should be done by 12:30. Lastly, expressions of interest are welcomed for an Acolyte Ministry Co-Lead to join this ministry. It's not a large time commitment and guiding the youth of our parish as they participate in the Eucharistic celebration is an absolute honor each Sunday. To express interest in becoming an Acolyte, becoming a Ministry Co-Lead, and/or to RSVP for the November 5th training, please contact Mary Battaglia, Acolyte Ministry Lead,
