The Middle and High School youth groups wrapped up their seasons in May with final meetings and so much to look forward to in the fall. One highlight for sure was the return of the High School ski trip, which has been a long standing tradition year after year. They also welcomed graduating 8th graders to their last meeting to get to know the leaders and some of the members of the group.

Middle School finished out their year in May as well with so much to be thankful for. Although the annual trip to Carousel was postponed due to a questionable forecast, they had one last pizza party and finished with ice cream sundaes anyway. They will head to Carousel and include rising 6th graders in June. Many thanks to all of the supportive leaders, Chris, Ryan, Margy, Coy, Kayla, Mike, Anna Galina, Toly & Father Ben and to all the parents for your support as well. We are looking forward to the fall.

Sunday School

Sunday School is joyfully back to meeting in person and it is such a joy to be able to sit with the kids again. Throughout the summer, we’ll be meeting in a “one room schoolhouse” fashion. In addition to a short Bible story, I intend to take advantage of the slower, sweeter pace that summer lends itself to by playing on the playground or playing a Bible game during our time together. My hope is that we’ll be able to build relationships with one another in anticipation of the more structured fall session. I am hoping to add a few more volunteers to help during July and August. If you haven’t already, I’d love to know you’d be willing to help! The time commitment is minimal and it’s a wonderful way to introduce the kids back to Sunday School.

Please contact me directly if you can help out. We’d be working together on Sunday morning!

Pray + Play

Back by popular demand, our summer Pray + Play series will be held 2 evenings in June and 2 evenings in August. All are welcome to join us on the playground at Saint James' Church and School, this worship service will be aimed towards families with children, we'll have some cool treats for the kids afterwards and a Happy Hour for parents too!

Remember this is casual! So, no need to get in your "Sunday Best" (though, if you want to - go for it!). Also keep in mind, Main Street is a wonderful option to grab some dinner afterwards as well. The first scheduled date for Pray + Play is June 3rd at 5:30. Please be sure to check the church social media outlets and the weekly news for additional dates throughout the summer.
